Omron Turkey contributing in a big way to education and industry

On Friday 22nd July at the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, Europe’s largest Industrial Technology Laboratory was opened by the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, Nihat Ergün. The Omron Industrial Automation Technology Laboratory will be used to benefit education and industry in Turkey.
The opening of the Omron automation laboratory, which has had a large investment and was founded on Omron’s 78 years philosophy of “anticipating the needs of future generations and satisfying those needs by leading technology”, was inaugurated by the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun, the Japan Consul General of Istanbul, Katsuyoshi Hayashi, Omron Europe's CEO, Shizuto Yukumoto, Omron Turkey’s General Manager, Dogan Ugur, the rector of the Yildiz Technical University, Ismail Yuksek and the Dean of the Electrical & Electronic Faculty, Galip Cansever. In the opening speech, the importance of the laboratory and its contribution to education and industry in Turkey was emphasized.
In establishing this laboratory, Omron Turkey, who follow Omron’s principle of “working for the benefit of society”, aim to encourage young Turkish people to follow the rapidly changing technology in the world and to use that technology. As a result of this, several Omron demonstrations, which students will face in the future of industry, including  vision control systems, safety systems, switching and control components, motion control and automation products are now on show within the laboratory.
